my work
my play
Through the intersection of art, play, and psychotherapy lies the profoundly free, expressive, transformative dream space of creativity. Through curiosity and present moment awareness, my art, my work, and the intersection of the two are rooted and situated within process.
The canvas holds space to explore what has not or can not be worded, a potential space, as exists between myself and my clients. Through paint, I explore possibility held within and between tensions. Warmth, structure, nature, nurture, grace, truth, power, domination, consciousness, subconsciousness, trauma, desire, rupture, repair. Each moment unfolds into the next.
Through art and play, the stories we hold are allowed to unfold just as they are, to be shifted and reworked, to be left and returned to in time. To blossom, to be held and witnessed, and finally, to be released. Through the freedom of play, my paintings are my offerings of an exploration of the possibilities and potential of our lives to be lived fully, more humanly.
